Carolyn L. Claytor, 88, of Muncie, Indiana passed away on September 20, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on March 19, 1935, in Muncie, Indiana to Morris and Louise (Clouse) Tetrick.

Carolyn loved gardening, and spending time with her pets and family, she was the best caregiver for her grandchildren and loved doing art projects with them. Carolyn graduated from Center High School in 1953, then graduated with her bachelor's degree from Ball State University in 1957 in art education then obtained her master's degree. She spent 38 years in Muncie Community Schools teaching Art.

Carolyn is survived by two daughters; Lisa Marsh (Kelley), and Marla Taylor (Wayne), three grandchildren; Zach Marsh, Megan Marsh, and Chelsie Taylor, great-grandchild Charlee Elizabeth, along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Leo Claytor, her parents, grandmother Caroline Clouse, her fur baby Tobi, sister Marilyn Conner, infant brother Richard M. Tetrick, and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Morrison Woods for their love and the wonderful care given to our mother.

Funeral services will be at Parson Mortuary on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. The interment will be at Elm Ridge Cemetery.
