Chad Steven Champion, 50, passed away unexpectedly at his residence in Selma, Indiana, on Friday, March 1, 2024.  Chad was born in Bryan, Ohio, on May 11, 1973.

Following high school graduation, Chad enlisted in the United States Navy, and proudly served his country during the Persian Gulf War.  He was married to his wife, Amanda, for 23 years and they have three children.

Chad had a love for racing, NASCAR, and RC cars.  He raced his remote-control cars in local events, winning several.  Chad also had a passion for two football teams, the University of Michigan and the Dallas Cowboys.  He was also a member of American Legion Post 437, Selma, Indiana.  But perhaps his biggest passion, what brought joy to his heart, was his grandchildren.  When he held his latest, granddaughter Stella, the undying love and devotion of a grandfather could be seen in his eyes.

Those left to mourn his loss include his wife, Amanda (Thomas) Champion, son Chad Austin Champion, daughters Haley Rose (Russell), and Cassidie Perry (James), his father, Tom Lambcke, grandson Easton Champion, granddaughter Stella Sereia Perry, and soon-to-be born, Baby Girl Rose.  He is also survived by a brother, Toby Champion (Gina), a sister, Kylee Champion Burton, and several nieces and nephews.

Chad was preceded in death by his mother Jane Lambcke, and grandparents, Harold and Ladyne Kurtz.

Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center is handling the cremation.  There will be a celebration of life at the Selma Legion Post 437, 315 S. Albany Street, Selma, Indiana on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at 5:00 PM.
