Chiquita Ann Plank (Nina) passed away peacefully at her home "on the corner" on August 31, 2026.  She was born December 9th, 1959, to Clarence and Geraldine (Mama) Knight.

Nina enjoyed caring for many people through various nursing homes and home healthcare agencies over the years. When she wasn't on the "clock," she lived in her own fairytale as much as possible. Depending on how long you knew her, you might remember the monkey, the lions, the llamas, or the bear. If she could have had it her way, she would've had an elephant. She had a huge heart for animals of all kinds. The month of October was her absolute favorite time of the year. She loved Halloween and dressing up as a witch as much as gardening, baking (not her cooking lol), and every beautiful moment that life had to offer with a Dr Pepper in hand.

She is survived by her daughter, Makisha Galan (Omar), her "Dodge", Gabriel Alcantara, her grandchildren, Noemi and Cristian "Walter", a brother, Shawn Knight (Maria), nieces and nephews, Storm, Zeke and Danica, her previous husband, Tommy Plank (Heather), and her dog, Victoria.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Danny.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Parson Mortuary, 801 W. Adams Street, Muncie, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
