Christopher Paul Johnson, 66, went to his heavenly home on Monday morning, June 26, 2023, at his home following an extended illness.  He was born on November 25, 1956, in Muncie the son of Joe and Inez (Strahan) Johnson.

Christopher graduated from Southside High School in 1975 and later married the love of his life, Christy (Parker) Johnson on April 27, 2002, in Muncie, and she survives.  Mr. Johnson had worked in sales of building materials for over 30 years prior to his disability and he also had played his guitar for various local bands one of which was called "Father Knows Best".   Christopher enjoyed leatherworking, fishing, and playing guitar which, he also did while on the praise and worship team at Destiny Christian Church, and treasured the time he could spend with his grandchildren as well.  Mr. Johnson was a member of the Muncie Home Builders Association where he had served as a former President and the Indiana Home Builders Association.

Besides his wife of 22 years, Christy, he is also survived by 2 sons, Eric Johnson (Basil), Anderson and Joshua Schenck (Jasamin), Muncie; 1 daughter, Jessica Waymire (Jedidiah), Frankton; 3 grandchildren, Wilco, Romana and Cassian Johnson all at home; 2 brothers, Ed Johnson (Carolyn), and Jim Johnson both of Muncie; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, Ann Johnson, and 1 sister-in-law, Jenny Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at  1:00 P.M. at Parson Mortuary with Bishop Keith O'Neal officiating.  Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call Parson Mortuary on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, from 11:00 A.M.  until the time of service.
