Christopher Michael New, 51, passed away at his Muncie, Indiana, residence on December 13, 2025, following a sudden illness.  Christopher was born on March 12, 1974, the son of Shannon and Bertha (Harmeyer) New.  Following graduation from Wapahani High School, Christopher worked for IMI Materials as a cement truck driver.

He is survived by his son Jaden New of Florida, his father, Shannon New (Mable), his siblings, Lisa Van Matre (Brian), Shannon New (Lisa), and Tammy Mong (Gary), and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha New.

Per his wishes, Christopher will be cremated with no services.
