Connie Jo Bell, 64, left for her heavenly home on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at her residence following an extended illness.  She was born on February 22, 1959, in Muncie the daughter of Max and Barbara (Hendsel) Bell and James McCain.

Connie was a 1977 graduate of Muncie Northside High School and later went on to Amber's Beauty School where she learned the profession as a cosmetologist to eventually, owning her own beauty and tanning salon known as Bronze Touch in Muncie and also was a bartender in the Anderson area.  She was a member of the Union Missionary Baptist Church and also the Eagles Lodge.  Ms. Bell enjoyed music very much and could be seen singing karaoke at various places.  Mostly she enjoyed being with her family especially, her grandchildren.

Survivors include One daughter, Barbara Bell Shannon (TyJuan McCraney), Muncie; one stepson, Billy Joe Hooten (Heather), Anderson, IN; fourteen grandchildren; special cousin, Jo Ann Johnson, Indianapolis; hospice nurse, Misty Crabbe, Anderson; Caregiver, Mona Knotts, Anderson; close friends, Kevin Donard, Muncie, Shaya Palmer, Anderson and Allisha Ramirez, Yorktown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Robert Lee Berman; and her companion for 30 years, Jim Alberts.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Robert Scaife officiating.  Cremation will follow at the Parson Mortuary Cremation Center.

Friends may call at Parson Mortuary on October 30, 2023, from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service.
