Darlene Ruth Collins, 87, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026.

Darlene was born on August 20, 1939, in Chicago, IL to Buel and Minnie (Rayburn) Brown.

Darlene was a loving and joyful woman who had a way of lighting up every room she entered. She was a devoted homemaker and took great pride in caring for her family. Her children were the center of her world, and she cherished every moment she spent with them. One of her favorite pastimes was driving her children around in the golf cart, creating memories they would carry with them forever.

Darlene enjoyed gardening and had a special love for cats. She was a giving, caring, and loving person who brought warmth and happiness to the lives of those around her. Her kindness, joyful spirit, and love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Darlene is survived by her children, Charlene Adams (Bill) and Michael Collins; sister-in-law, Phyllis Miller; grandson, Benny Collins; granddaughter, Trish Collins; grandson Billy Adams, four great grandchildren; Liam, Joey, Maverick, and Owen Adams; and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LilBurn Coy Collins; her parents, Burl and Minnie Brown; her son, Chris Edward Collins; and her siblings.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Parson Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Hawk Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2026.
