David Sterling Jarnagin, 79, of Muncie, passed away on September 2, 2026, after a long battle with cancer.

Dave worked as a carpenter and construction worker for 62 years. He will always be remembered for his big heart and the love he gave to his family and friends. He loved golfing and spending time with all his grandchildren. His family always came first; he was a hard worker and will be deeply missed by many.

Dave leaves behind his wife Maureen (Rooney) Jarnagin, children; Sheila Maggard, Lisa Autry from St. Pete FL., Steve Jarnagin from Jersey City, New Jersey, Jerry Jarnagin, and Sarah Mahoney, 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, 2 son-in-laws and 1 daughter-in-law; Bill Maggard,  Charlie Williams, and Liz Jarnagin.

He was preceded in death by his parents & 2 brothers & 2 sisters.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
