Donae Marie Cook, 52, passed away on Sunday evening, April 9, 2023, at the Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illnesses. She was born on November 25, 1970, in Muncie the daughter of Steven Spangler Sr. and Aletha Mae (Turner) Spangler.

Donae attended Muncie Community Schools and later became a school bus driver for M&M Bus Company now known as Auxilio Bus Company.  For a total of 18 years prior to her disability.  She enjoyed doing Arts and Crafts, coloring, fishing, and spending time with her family and her fur babies, Charlie and Bobo.

Survivors include two daughters, Ciara Freeman and Amber Barentine, both of Muncie; one son Travis Freeman (Julie), Muncie; four grandchildren, Eathan, Jenna, Lexi, and Hailey; two sisters, Vicki McDaniel of Muncie, Rayna Hall of Shelbyville; two brothers, Steven Spangler, Jr.(Brendalize)  and Charles (Jr.) Reagan, both of Muncie; several nieces and nephews, including Lashelle, Lelani, John, Jacob, Trentligh, Alonna, and Amanda.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one niece, Skyleigh.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 5:00 P.M. at Parson Mortuary with Ronnie Crouch officiating. Cremation to follow.

Friends may call Parson Mortuary on Friday afternoon, April 14, 2023, from 3:30 P.M. until the time of service. Parson Mortuary Cremation Center is entrusted with these arrangements.
