Donald "Greg" Herron, 64,  went to his heavenly home Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at his residence following an extended illness.  He was born on August 23, 1958, in Muncie, the son of Donald H. Herron and Phyllis (Gregory) Herron- Reynolds.

Greg graduated from Muncie Southside High School in 1975 and later married the love of his life, Joanna L. (Smith) Herron on February 12, 1982, in Muncie.  Mr. Herron had worked for the Muncie Sanitary District as a Maintenance Foreman in the water pollution control facility for 31 years prior to his retirement in 2017.  He was a member of the Full Gospel Temple, enjoyed playing slow-pitch softball with his team, The Blue Boys, and enjoyed listening to Blues, Rock, and roll music, and fishing.  Greg treasured the times he could spend with his children and grandchildren the most!

Besides his wife of 41 years, Joanna Herron, he is survived by one son, Corey G. Herron, and one daughter, Leslie J. Bays (Daryl), both of Muncie.  Also, surviving are three granddaughters, Sheridan, Ellianah, and Dalilah Bays; one grandson, Carter G. Herron; one great-granddaughter, Aria; stepmother, Diane Herron, and his brother, Brian Herron all of Muncie; Several nieces and nephews.

His sister, Dana Herron, and his mother preceded him in death.

Cremation is being done with a private family gathering at a later date.
