Donald went home to be with the Lord Thursday September 24, 2026. Donald was born in Muncie Indiana August 16, 1937. He was preceded in death by his wife Elaine J. House (Charleston West Virginia), his parents Virgil House and Mildred Stewart (Muncie Indiana), sons Rusty and Randy House (Augusta Georgia). Survivors include his step son Brian Nichols (wife LeaAnn) of Muncie Indiana, step daughter Andrea Jordan (Roseboro NC), grandson Zachary Jordan (Roseboro NC), great grandchildren Christian Lee Eagle Jordan and Christopher Jordan (Black River Falls Wisconsin).

Donald entered the Army in 1955 and was stationed at Fort Gordon Georgia and later with the 82nd Airborne at Ft. Bragg North Carolina. Donald traveled all over the country as a welder and welding instructor welding live gas lines and pipeline. He worked for a time at the Augusta National Golf course as a groundskeeper. He built campers and RVs in Topeka Indiana. Lived in Oneida Tennessee where he had 2 ponds to catch black crappie. He absolutely loved to fish and had stories for days. He also lived in Farmland and Parker City many years and would fish at Wheeler Lake. As much as he loved fishing, he loved his wife Elaine more than anything. She was his pride and joy and would do anything for her. He loved to play cards and watch Gold Rush as well.

Donald was an ordained minister for a number of years and even recorded several Christian albums with his family. He loved the Lord with all his mind, heart, body, and soul. He never met a stranger and loved everyone. He would light up a room with his giant smile and greeting to all. Donald embodied the humility and humbleness of a servant of the Lord. Donald will be sorely missed, but we all are comforted knowing that there is no doubt that he is in heaven with Jesus.

Visitation will be held at Freedom Point Apostolic Church, 6460 E. Jackson St, Muncie Indiana 47303 on Sunday October 11th at 1 pm. Services will begin at 2 pm with Pastor Luke Medlin.

Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Maxville Indiana.
