Edith "Edie" May Hodges, 76, went to be with our Lord on January 29, 2024, at Northview Health and Living, in Anderson, Indiana.  She was born on February 14, 1947, the daughter of John W. and Ella M. (Rousey) Brown at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.

Following graduation from high school, Edie was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, making jewelry, and collecting dolls, and blue and white porcelain figurines.  The one thing that people will most likely remember her for is her alter ego, Son De Light, which was her professional clown name.  While portraying Son De Light, she brought happiness and joy to so many.

Edie leaves being three daughters, and one son, a sister, Evelyn (Katie) Jackson (Woody Anderson), two brothers, Johnny D. Brown, Anderson, Indiana, and Tim Kirchhofer (Jennifer), Wapakoneta, Ohio, a special friend, Georgia Cumpston, Anderson, Indiana, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Linda S. Patton, sister-in-law, Nichole Brown, and nieces, Tamara Carter and Kimberly Jackson.

Cremation has taken place at Parson Mortuary Cremation Center.
