Floyd West went home to be with the Lord and his children on the morning of Wednesday July 20 at his residence with family after an extended illness. Floyd was born on October the eleventh of nineteen forty six in Monticello Kentucky to Ida and Vern Gibson. Floyd was a retiree of The Muncie Sanitary District. In his free time he enjoyed spending time with his family, bowling, playing Texas Hold Em and watching sports of all types. He was devoted to his family and was a loving Husband ,Father, Brother, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He will truly be missed. Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years Barbara West. His daughter in law Christy West. His brothers Rick and Jerry Gibson. His sisters June Clark, Penny Caldwell, and Angie Erhart. His grandchildren Brittaney(Adam) Erwin, Aaron French, Trent (Sarah) West, Barbara (Zachary) Boyd, Kayleigh (Ryan) Neff, Nathan West and Ava West. Along with nine great grandchildren with two more on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents Ida and Vern Gibson, his maternal grandparents Edna and William West. As well as both of his children Dale West and Melinda French. A celebration of life will be held in his honor at the Selma Legion on Wednesday July 27th from 4pm to 7pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family to assist with the cost of his final expenses.
