Franklin E. Pope, a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, went home to the Lord on July 22, 2026. Born on May 10, 1946, to Elmer and Erlene Pope in Lawrenceburg, TN.

A 1964 graduate of Yorktown High School, Frank embodied the values of a simple man. Frank found his greatest joy in his family. He also loved camping, fishing, and spending time in nature. A lifelong sports fan, he also enjoyed NASCAR racing and had a special appreciation for classic muscle cars.

A proud supporter of America's veterans and the military, Frank faithfully attended veterans' dinners, alumni gatherings, and reunions with old classmates. He deeply appreciated those who served and valued the friendships he maintained throughout his life after serving in the Army. Above all else, Frank was devoted to his family. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the center of his world, and he treasured every opportunity to spend time with them.

Frank is survived by his children, MaryAnn Pope (Will Hughes) and John Pope (Melissa); his grandchildren, Katie Mullins (Hunter) and Callie Pope; his great-grandchildren, Reid Mullins and Hallie Mullins; along with extended family members who will lovingly remember him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Mary Pope; his parents, Elmer and Erlene Pope; his sister, Doris Carney; and his twin sister, Frances Deeb.

Funeral services will be held at Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center. Visitation will begin on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation an hour before. Burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery along with military rites.
