Gary Brent King, 75, passed away at his Selma, Indiana, home on April 15, 2026.  The son of Dave and Carrie (Corder) King, he was born on December 11, 1950, in Wayne County, Kentucky.

Following graduation from Muncie Southside High School, Gary went on to work in various fields, including several years at The Broderick Company in Muncie & GW Pierce Auto Parts. He was a hard worker, starting at the age of twelve, he was already working in a dairy. Through the years, he became known as the go-to Tractor Man, who worked on tractors of all kinds, but specialized in Ford tractors. He later went on to become a buyer & seller of collectible merchandise.

Gary was a fan of most kinds of racing, enjoyed fishing (mostly on land), hunting, and using a .22 rifle for handy work. He was a wheeler-dealer who loved to meet people and was a trustworthy person to deal with. His family & friends would often refer to him as "A walking encyclopedia" because of his vast knowledge of things that he learned through life experiences, talking with people or educating himself. Gary always had a love for children and fostered their needs for affection and praise.

He is survived by his son, Gary Brian King; grandchildren, Dylan, Blaise (Oaklee), and Savannah; one great-grandchild, Elizabeth; siblings, Jo Gross, Gene King (Teresa), Lee King (Georgia), Mike King (Marilyn), and Roger King (Barb); and his sister-in-law, Mary Sue King, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Don King and Barbara Jones.  A graveside service will be held at a future date.
