Glen William Shaner Jr. age 57, passed away from a brief illness at his home.  Glen was born on May 22, 1965, the son of Glen William Sr and Shirley Jean Shaner.  Glen attended Burris Laboratory School and worked at Terry Tool, where he worked for twenty-five-plus years before retiring due to his health.

Glen was a hard worker who enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and spending time with friends and family.  The light of his life was his only child, his daughter Shaena Shaner.  He may not have said it in his own words, but he was immensely proud of her and loved her with all his heart.

Glen had a unique sense of humor and strived to make people laugh.  He proved his love for his family through his actions, finding the words difficult to say.  Glen cared for his many nieces and nephews, often giving them silly nicknames, and relentlessly teasing and making jokes with them.  This is how he showed his love, "if he didn't tease you, he didn't like you."

Glen is survived by his daughter Shaena Shaner, "grand-dogs" Dori Jenkins and Poochie Marie, and one brother Jerry Shaner (Megan).  He leaves behind nieces; Mary, Cathy, Miranda, Patty, Diana, Jeanne, and Everette Shaner, and one nephew Larry Sargent.  In addition, he had great nieces; Heaven, Angel, Aubree, Mandy, Serenity, and Ava, as well as great-nephews; Camrin, Robert, Ayden, and Rory.  Glen also had special friends, Lori Walker, Larry Smith, Delores Flynn, and Diana Walker.  He also considered Kaylee, Kiel, Mikaylah, and Brandon to be his "adopted" children.

Glen was proceeded in death by his parents, Glen Sr and Shirley Shaner, and two sisters Diana Lynn Sargent and Amanda Sue Phillips.

A memorial service will be held at Parson Mortuary, 801 W. Adams, Muncie In. on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 6:00 PM.  Friends may call on the family from 4:00 PM until the time of the service.  Cremation will follow.
