James William Dellinger, 86, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 5, 1936, in Missouri, the son of late Ralph and Lorraine (Hays) Dellinger.

James was a caring father, he enjoyed reading, music, watching documentaries, and saying chocolate ice cream was his favorite would be an understatement! After high school, James was in the Army, he graduated college with a bachelor's degree in education then after retiring he owned a business selling teddy bears, collectibles, and all.

Survivors include his sons; Brian Dellinger (Jennifer), Christopher Dellinger, Thomas Dellinger, and daughter-in-law Kimberly.

Besides his wife Rita, James is preceded in death by his parents and son James J. Dellinger.
