Janis Elaine Andrews, 91, passed away March 21, 2025, at her Muncie, Indiana residence, surrounded by her loved ones.  Janis was born on November 15, 1933, the daughter of Hugh and Goldie (Moore) Harrold.

Janis graduated from Muncie Central High School and went on to work at Ontario Silver Company making silverware.  This is where she met the love of her life, Richard Andrews, who became her husband of sixty years before his passing.

Janis enjoyed bowling, word find puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, yardwork, and feeding the birds and squirrels in the neighborhood.  She also was an avid reader and loved to travel with her husband, at times taking spontaneous trips, calling and saying "we are in" and naming the city and state.

Janis leaves behind two daughters, Lori Gottschall (Mike), and Karen Shelton (Roger), grandchildren, Lindsey Trego (Justin), Michael Shelton (Sydney), three great grandchildren, Hayden and Case Trego, and Asher Shelton.  In addition, she leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, parents, Hugh and Goldie Harrold, siblings, Catherine Gabbard, and Robert Harrold, and one niece, Angela Reynolds.

There will be a private family viewing.  Friends are welcome to attend a graveside service at Tomlinson Cemetery, 5301 S. Old State Road 67, Muncie, Indiana on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 2:15 PM.
