Jeffrey James Cole passed away on September 22, 2026, at the age of 19, from injuries sustained in a traffic accident. Jeff was born on May 17, 2007, in Muncie, Indiana, to Jeff Cole and Crystal Carnes.

After graduating from high school, Jeff worked for Blackmore and Buckner Roofing in Indianapolis and was a member of Local 119. He was a hard worker who would do anything for the people he cared about, especially his mother.

Jeff had an adventurous spirit; he loved riding ATV’s, hanging out with the guys, and loved shooting guns. He had a unique personality that would light up the room; he was a humorous young man who loved to banter with people. He was fiercely protective of his mom, always checking on her to make sure she had what she needed.

He leaves behind his mother, Crystal Carnes, and his grandmother, Peggy Carnes (Joe), his brothers, Mason Hatten, Lucian Cole, and Jayveri Carnes, and two uncles, Jeff Carnes and Jackie Carnes (Jessica). He is also survived by his “Bonus Mama,” Megan Webb, a host of family and friends, and his girlfriend, Kerah Kitts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jeff Cole, and his brother, Ausin Hatten.

Services will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 12:30 PM at Parson Mortuary, 801 W Adams Street, Muncie, Indiana. Friends may call on the family from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery.
