Jerry L. Fair Sr.

Jerry L. Fair Sr. passed away at Ball Memorial IU Health, Muncie Indiana after an illness. He had battled COPD and heart failure for the past few years. He was 74 years old.

Born in Muncie Indiana to Lester E. Fair and Vera M. Fair, he spent his entire life in Muncie and graduated from Muncie Central in 1966. After graduating from Muncie Central he went to work at Beckett Bronze Company. He thoroughly enjoyed his work and took great pleasure in training and mentoring many people during his time there. As the General Foreman of Becket Bronze, he retired after 50 years with the company. Jerry was a hard worker and believed in treating everyone with respect, being honest, and always keeping his word.

On September 26th, 1968 he married the love of his life, Edwina, they celebrated a marriage lasting over 50 years before her passing in 2022. Jerry was a great man, mentor, coach, father, and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him. He had a love for photography, fishing, and woodworking.

He was preceded in death by both parents, a brother Kenneth Fair, a sister Diane Fausett and his dear wife Edwina.

His grandchildren, Dylan Fair, Jackson Fair, Cecilia Fair, and Lea Wysong

His sisters, Janet Calvert and Lillie Hammel, plus many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services have been entrusted to Parson Mortuary & Cremation Center, 801 W. Adams St. Muncie, IN. on Friday, March 31st. Calling hours will be 11:00 - 1:00, with service to follow.  Private family burial will follow.
