Joanne Elaine Scott, 76, of Muncie, Indiana, finished her life's journey on August 16, 2026, surrounded by the loved ones who meant so much to her. She was born on December 13, 1949, in Muncie, Indiana, to Marvin Jones and Patricia (Foley) Ullom.

Joanne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She cherished her family and children above all else and took great joy in the time she spent with them.

Joanne had a love for life and enjoyed many things, including traveling, music, birds, boating, and spending time on pontoons. She especially loved the water—the ocean and lakes—and enjoyed sunbathing and soaking up the sunshine. She looked forward to the James Dean Festival and attending car shows, and she had a special fondness for older music. Joanne's warm spirit, love of family, and enjoyment of the simple pleasures in life will be deeply missed.

Joanne is survived by her beloved husband of many years, Ronald Scott; Her brother Ron Jones (Valerie) her children, Spencer Jones (Gayle), Chad Evans (Brooke Evans), and Shellie Turner (Scott); grandchildren, Drake Jones (Alix), Casey Jones(Ashley), Aubrey Quaintance (Eric), Allie Murphy (Cory), Gabe Evans, Joshua Beeson (Brandi), Hunter Beeson (Hanna), and Mary Beeson; 13 great-grandchildren; and her beloved cat, Jazzman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Jones and Patricia Ullom, step-father Wiley Ullom,  her brother, Dan Jones.

Funeral services will be held at Parson Mortuary at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
