Kevin Lee Turney, age 55, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2022, with his family by his side.

Kevin is survived by his son, Aaron Turney of Yorktown, IN, his daughter Hayle Turney of Muncie, IN his grandsons, Hunter and Carson Turney, his father, Lawrence Turney Sr; his sister-in-law, Missy Turney, his niece, Lauren (Zach) Gidcumb, his nephew, Evan (Carolyn) Turney, and his great niece and nephew, Ellie and Kade Gidcumb, as well as several uncles, aunts, and cousins.  Kevin was especially grateful for his lifelong friend, Jeff Sanders, who stayed by his side, with the family, during his passing.  Kevin also loved his four-legged grandchild, "Princess," as well as his buddies, "Mickey" and "Simba".

Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Turney, his brother, Larry Turney, his grandparents, and countless other loved ones.

Kevin was a man of MANY words and loved to chat about any and all topics he was given the opportunity to. He valued his friendships and loved his family.  Kevin loved all things vintage and enjoyed working on old cars with his son.  Kevin especially loved being Papaw to his grandsons who loved him very much.  Trips to Gatlinburg, TN was a highlight for Kevin and he was able to travel there, one more time, in 2022 where he spent time with his daughter and family.  Kevin always tried to bring humor and sarcasm to every situation and was a faithful friend to those he loved.  He quietly served others in ways he was able and will be missed by many.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at Parson Mortuary with Pastors Evan Turney and Zach Gidcumb officiating.  Burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery located at 1400 W. Kilgore Ave. Muncie, IN 47305.

Friends may call Parson Mortuary on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
