Kortney Marie Brooks, 33, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026, at Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital after a month-long battle with her illness. She was born on April 1, 1993, the daughter of Charles Brooks and Tianna Blankenship.

She loved spending time outdoors, listening to music, and spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She was a kind-hearted woman whose smile brightened those around her.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her companion, Haroon Khaksar, and her father, Charles (Chuck) E. Brooks II and her stepmother, Denise Brooks; her mother, Tannia Rena Blankenship; and stepfather Shannon Blankenship; her Brothers Aaron Brooks (Caytlyn), Jacob Brooks (Amy), Joshua Williams, Willie Connors (Melissa), Jeff Holt (Sierra), and Kevin Holt. In addition, she leaves behind her nieces and nephews Abby, Cambry, Carter, Michael, and Ellen Brooks, Kingston and Conrad Connors, Trevan, Bryson, Addison, and Jayven Holt, as well as her beloved cat, Cali, and her many friends that she had made and loved over the years.
