Obituary

Lee Ann Watters-Frantz, 61, of Muncie, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord on October 6, 2026, at her residence. She was born on February 2, 1965, in Muncie, Indiana, to Homer and Charlotte (Hurst) Watters.

Lee was a devoted wife, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and godly woman who loved her family deeply. She had a big heart and loved fiercely, always cherishing the time she spent with those closest to her. Her family was her greatest joy, especially her nieces and nephews, and she treasured making memories with them throughout her life. During her younger years, Lee participated in Girl Scouts, Brownies, Junior Achievement, and band. She graduated from Muncie Northside High School. She especially enjoyed family trips and vacations creating memories that she carried with her throughout her life. In 1986, Lee moved to Florida before returning to Muncie in 1990. She was a member of Morningside Methodist Church before the church closed and held her faith close to her heart.

Lee enjoyed getting out and experiencing life as much as she could. Throughout her life, she faced numerous health challenges, including breast cancer and multiple sclerosis, with remarkable strength and determination. She was a true warrior whose resilience never wavered. No matter what challenges came her way, Lee continued to persevere, demonstrating the strength of her spirit and the depth of her courage. Her unwavering love for her family and her determination to keep going were a testament to the incredible woman she was.

Lee is survived by her loving husband, Ronnie Frantz, with whom she shared a relationship that began in 1981; her sister, Brenda Watters-Hawkins (Danny); her nieces and nephews, Ashley Watters, Aaron Watters (Katie), and Crystal Caudill (Evan); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Isaiah Minnick, Ella Cassel, Amiyah Minnick, and Charlee Brown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Charlotte Watters; her siblings, Sandra Kay, Homer Dewaine II, David Dewaine, and Patrick Wayne.

A private family burial will be held at a later date. A celebration of life will also be announced at a later date.
