Leonard E. "Ed" Petro, 79, left this life on December 31, 2022, at his residence following an extended illness.  He was born on March 9, 1943, in Muncie, the son of Leonard Petro and Rosemary (Deifenbaugh) Petro- Pennycuff.

Leonard graduated from Parker City Jr. Sr. High School and later went to a trade school to get certified in electrical work.  He had worked for Ball Corporation for over 30 years in the maintenance department.  Mr. Petro had been a member of the Glass Workers Union where he was a Stewart at one time.  Leonard enjoyed working outdoors rather it was mowing, gardening, or just tinkering.  Leonard especially treasured the times he could spend with his family.

Survivors include two daughters, Vanessa Dull, and Valyn Petro, both of Parker City; three grandchildren, Ethan, Josh, and Landon; two great-grandchildren, Avree Green and Addie Petro.

He was preceded in death by one son, Joe Petro in 2019; his parents and three siblings, Larry and Mike Petro, and Pam Smith.

Cremation has been chosen with a private family gathering at a later date.  Parson Mortuary Cremation Center is entrusted with these arrangements.
