Leotta C. Woody, 66, went to her heavenly home Wednesday afternoon, June 28, 2023, at her residence following a brief illness.  She was born on August 5, 1956, in Jamestown, Tennessee the daughter of Porter and Neva Piercy.

Leotta graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1974 and later married the love of her life Steven Woody and they had been married for over 40 years prior to his passing in 2004.

Mrs. Woody worked for Ball State University for 30 years prior to her retirement in 2005.  Leotta had attended the Eastside Baptist Church when she was able to.

Survivors include 1 son Steve Woody, Muncie; 5 grandchildren, Karyssa Hoolehan (Anthony), Tyler Wilson, Kaylee Wilson, Jase Woody, and Jayden Wilson; Muncie; 1 great-granddaughter, Kinsley Marie Hoolehan, at home; 2 brothers, Arthur Piercy (Joan) and Clayton Piercy, both of Muncie; 2 sisters, Mary Keesling (Brian) and Juanita Blevins, both of Muncie; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, Steven, she was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Ronnie Piercy, and 1 sister, Leatha Piercy.

Private family burial will take place at Beech Grove Cemetery.  Parson Mortuary is entrusted with these arrangements.
