Leroy J. Suiters, 89, passed away Late Wednesday evening, August 17, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his family, following an extended illness.  He was born on November 28, 1932, in West Union, Ohio the son of James Suiters and Dorothy (Breakhall) Suiters-Adams.

Leroy graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1959 and later was drafted for the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  He had married the love of his life Geneva (Heathcook) Suiters in 1954 and she preceded him in death in 2021.  Mr. Suiters had worked for Delco for 30 years before his retirement as a production worker and also in the security Departments.  He had supplemented his income by working in maintenance at the Muncie Mall as well.  Leroy was a member of the Whitney Masonic Lodge and the United Auto Workers Union #497.  He was known to be a "Jack of all trades" building or fixing just about everything one could imagine.  Mr. Suiter enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include two grandchildren, Angela Wormer (Chuck Brooks) and Brian Wormer, both of Muncie; five great-grandchildren, Brock, Michael, Haylee, Alexus, and Brianna; three great-great-grandchildren, Ethan, Gabriella, and Cameron; one sister, Verna Suiters-Wagner (Timothy), Sevierville, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife of 68 years, Geneva he was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter and son-in-law, Ralph and Beverly Wormer; one sister, Edwina Suiters.

Cremation has been chosen with a private family gathering at a later date.  Parson Mortuary Cremation Center is entrusted with these arrangements.
