Linda Kay (Tharp) McGairk, 80, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022, surrounded by family after an extended illness.

Linda was born in Winchester, IN on October 6, 1941, the daughter of James H. Tharp and Helen M. (Byrne) Tharp. She graduated from Whiteriver High School in 1959. She loved doing yard work, dancing, and sewing and was an avid reader even after her eyesight went Linda enjoyed her audiobooks. She also loved animals, she rescued her beloved dogs, cats, and even a raccoon named Bandit that would come around so often to have a snack.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother. She leaves in her memory her children; Barry J. Collins (Stacie), and Lisa K. Collins. Sister, Maryjane Jakway. Grandchildren; Joseph G., Christian L., Aaron, Logan Collins, Zachary Pello (Stephanie), Chloe Clark (Justin), Garrett Goldenberg, 7 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph S. McGairk in 2007, Son James B. Collins, and Sister Jerry Chandler.
