Our sassy, feisty, very opinionated, lover of life, family, people, and fun mother Louise Bernice (Holder) Neal passed away at Hickory Creek Nursing Home on August 20 at the age of 98. Born to Roscoe, Lela Holder May 20, 1925, in Marion, IN. She was raised in Somerset, Science Hill, KY.

The family moved to the New Castle area during WW11. She later met our father when he came home from the war. They were married on Nov. 17, 1945. Later he moved to rural Muncie. They were married for 42 years, until his death in 1989. They raised 5 children. She was a homemaker, taking jobs occasionally to help out. She attended Full Gospel Temple for over 30 years.

She is survived by 4 children, Janet (Larry) Mikel, Geneva Neal, Jama (Ronnie) Gorman all of New Castle, Jimmy (Noel Ann) Neal, Selma; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-great grandchildren, 2 fifth generations.

Preceded in death besides her parents; husband James A. Neal of 42 yrs.; daughter Tanna Morgan, infant son; all her siblings, and a son-in-law.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 8, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Tomlinson Cemetery.
