Marilyn June Clark passed away at IU Ball Memorial Hospital on August 26, 2026, at the age of 68.  Marilyn was born on April 8, 1958, in Monticello, Kentucky, the daughter of Vern and Ida (West) Gibson.

Following graduation from school, Marilyn worked at a local nursing home a few hours a week.  However, Marilyn was known primarily for caring for her family, including her late husband, Elmer.  She had a love for her family that could not be broken.  She loved spending time with her kids and the lights of her life, her grandchildren, and her siblings.  Family described her as "always the good one, but was also the ringleader" whenever mischief was to be had.

Marilyn is survived by her son, John Gibson, daughters-in-law Michelle Huffman and Holly Clark, grandchildren, Hailey and Alyssa Gibson, as well as her siblings, Rick Gibson, Jerry Gibson, Levona Caldwell, Angela Erhart, her "sister from another mother" Tammy Gibson, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Clark; her son Joe Clark, who passed away four days before her; her parents, Vern and Ida Gibson; and a brother, Floyd West.

Her granddaughters would like to say that Marilyn "was the best Nana in the world, loved everyone, and she will be forever missed!"
