Mary Lou Ashley, 82, passed away early Monday morning, November 14, 2022, at the Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.  She was born on December 16, 1939 in Noblesville, Indiana.  She resided for most of her life in Gas City, Indiana.

Survivors include three children Scarlett (Steve) Woodcox, Darren (Cheri) Ashley, Stephen (Gardenia) Ashley, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three brothers, Mr. and Mrs. James (Jimmy) Bacon, Mr. and Mrs. David Bacon, and Mr. and Mrs. Rick Bacon, three sisters, Peggy (Gary) Artman, Anita Gilmore, and Cheryl (Steve) Inman.

Mary loved spending time with her family, volunteering at the American Legion, thrifting and going to yard sales, and playing bingo.

She was preceded in death by her parents Helen and Gerald Bacon along with three brothers, Gordon (Dixie) Bacon, Gerald Wayne (Jan) Bacon, and Alden (Barbara) Bacon.

A private celebration of life will be done at a later date.
