Mary Beth Hadley, 70, went to her heavenly home early Tuesday morning, August 23, 2022, at Signature Health Care, following an extended illness. She was born in Muncie on September 4, 1951. She was the daughter of Edrol Joseph and Mary Alice (Staublin) Hadley.

Mary Beth graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1970. She later worked in administration for the Muncie Sanitary District for 25 years prior to her retirement. She was a Nanny in Barrington, Illinois, in her earlier years. During her time as a nanny, she was credited with saving some children from a fire in the Bahamas. She loved interior decorating, was known to be a part of musical and acting groups in high school and also enjoyed doing Calligraphy. Ms. Hadley had attended St. Lawrence Catholic Church.

Survivors include two grandsons, Nicolas Turner and Ian Lee; six siblings, Joe Hadley, Tom Hadley (Frances), Clara McCoy Smallwood (Roy), Claudia Long, Paul Hadley (Tammy), and Angelia Walls (Tim); several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rachel Lynn Hadley; her parents; two brother-in-laws, J.D. Long and Ernest McCoy; one sister-in-law, Betty Hadley.

A scripture funeral service will be held at Parson Mortuary on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 5:00 P.M., with Rev. David Hellman officiating. Cremation will follow with the burial of cremated remains at Beech Grove Cemetery at a later date.
