Mildred Irene (Spradlin) Roberts, 93 of Sherwood, Arkansas went home to be with The Lord on Saturday, April 1, 2023.  She was at home surrounded by her family.  She was born on October 30, 1929, in Strunk, Kentucky, to the late William Henry Spradlin and Matilda (Stephens) Spradlin.  She was married on January 2, 1946, to Edward Roberts, the love of her life.  They were married for sixty-one years before his death in 2006.

She was saved at Upper Marsh Creek Baptist Church in Strunk, Kentucky, and was a member of Bethel United Baptist in Muncie, Indiana.

Together, she and Edward moved to Muncie and raised their children.  Later, they followed their daughters to Arkansas where she and Ed managed a housing authority for five years before returning to Strunk.  She spent the entirety of her life living in Kentucky, Indiana, or Arkansas, but enjoyed traveling the United States and especially spending winters in Florida.  She moved to Arkansas again in 2015, and for the remainder of her life lived with her daughter, Brenda.

She is survived by four daughters, Eudenia Owens (husband, Ferrell) Shreveport, Louisiana; Lenia Posey (husband, Jerold) Vilonia, Arkansas; Brenda Roberts Sherwood, Arkansas; and Judy Conway (husband-Kevin) Muncie, Indiana and sister Carol Barber Frankfort, Indiana; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter Anna Mae Roberts; her son Larry Joe Spradlin; seven brothers Clyde, Clarence, Darris, Hobert, Eugene, Gorman, and Howard; and two sisters Geneva Roberts and Maxine Wood.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 12:00 PM at Parson Mortuary, 801 W. Adams, Muncie, Indiana.  Friends may visit Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  Her grandson, Pastor Tim Owens will officiate.  Burial will follow at Tomlinson Cemetery.
