Nancy Sue (Apple) McKillip, 71, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023.   Nancy was born October 14, 1951, in Marion, Indiana, and is the daughter of the late Carmel (Smith) Apple and Thurman Apple.

Nancy was a person with the will, courage, and determination to fight all things life threw her way. She had the ability to find the positive in any situation she faced. And later on in life, when she became ill, that same positivity would carry over.

She was also a "walking miracle" who continuously defied the odds regardless of how stacked up against her they were. And at times, that stacking came in many layers yet she never wavered in her positivity, finding it, defying and overcoming.

Nancy enjoyed all genres of music. She played piano by ear. And she loved to dance. She was also a creative soul who loved to craft and take on just about any project that came her way.  And when it came to family, they were everything to her!! And her husband Pat, well, she often referred to him as her knight in shining armor!

She is survived by her husband of 35 years Patrick McKillip. Her children, Thomas Jr. Hamaker (Dawn), Cher Kelley, Joshua Hamaker (Marie), and Brandi Tarver. Her grandchildren Chelsey, Megan, Kylee, Darian, Lauren, Madi, Zedalee, and Carolina. And great-grandchildren Lailah, Jersi, Gracie, Hunter, Darryl, Keith Jr., and Trey. Along with her sisters Virginia Hamilton and Rebecca Apple and a brother, Patrick Hamilton. She was also preceded in death by her two great-grandchildren, Ariel and Leiland.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the Muncie Sailing Club, 8331 S 560 E Selma, IN 47383 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Summer dress attire
