Nancy Jean Eicks, 74, passed away on October 10, 2023, at Waters Edge Village, Muncie, Indiana.  She was born on March 3, 1949, in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of John D. and Hazel Peterson.

Following high school graduation Nancy worked at various jobs, most notably in her children's mind, for Taft Broadcasting, where she learned of new cartoon characters before they were released, sharing that information with her children.  Nancy enjoyed fiber arts, especially knitting, crocheting, and her real passion, quilting.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Sally Kitchens (Lee), and Bonnie Burchett (Brion), one sister Mary Lou Nicodemus, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Hazel.

Per her wishes, Nancy will be cremated, with a celebration of life at a later date.
