Nancy Renae Imel, aged 77, passed away at Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital on December 21, 2022.  Nancy was born on May 1, 1945, in Muncie, Indiana, the daughter of Joshua East and Barbara (Runyon) Criswell.

She attended local schools including Muncie Central and was a homemaker most of her life. Nancy enjoyed playing bingo, doing arts and crafts, and Bowling.  She participated in several bowling leagues throughout the years.  Most importantly, Nancy loved her children and her family very much.

Nancy is survived by her children; Cynthia Hutton, Lee Acres, Allan Acres, and Dee Acres, grandchildren; Heather Smith, Joshua Acres, Kaylee Acres, Tristen Acres, Kyle Acres, Anthony Perry, Tory Perry, and Laci Perry, great-grandchildren; Brayleigh, Kinley, Braydon, Greyson, and Dion.  In addition, leaves behind her sisters Jean (Charlie) McKinley and Tammy Criswell, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents Haskel and Barbara (Runyon) Criswell, her father Joshua East, sister Sally Hebestreit and brother Kenny Criswell.

Funeral services are Tuesday, January 3, 2022, at 11:00 AM, at Parson Mortuary, with Joe Nelson officiating.  Friends may visit from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory, north of Muncie.
