Nicholas Shane Lutz, 45, passed away at home in Eaton on August 29, 2023, after a courageous battle with tonsil cancer. Nick never gave up hope and fought bravely to the very end. Born in Muncie on August 8, 1978, he was the son of Stephen and Susan Lutz and Teresa Skinner.

Nick was a 1997 graduate of Pendleton Heights High School. He previously worked at Aqua Systems and Oxley Soft Water.

Nick enjoyed golfing, Colts football, true crime TV, video and board games. Memories were made bowling with family and friends and going to tournaments with his dad. He loved fishing on Chapman Lake with his friends and family as well.

Nick is survived by his parents, daughters; Savanna Lutz and Kaylee Lloyd, fiancé Michele Atkinson; grandsons Bentley Joseph and soon-to-be-born Kingston Shane, sister Wendy Phipps, brother Chris Phipps, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and Michele's family.

Nick was preceded in death by his brothers Chad Lutz and Shawn Lutz, sister Kimberly Gibson, and niece Chelsey Gibson.

Per Nick's request, cremation will take place and no services will be held. Instead, raise a glass in his memory as his family did on the day of his passing.
