Randy Joe Smith, 58, passed away early Friday morning, at his residence following an extended illness.  He was born on January 5, 1964 in Muncie the son of James Odell and Jessie (Smith) Smith.

Randy attended Muncie Community Schools and later found employment at various machine shops around town as a laborer.  Currently he was employed as a driver for the Muncie Auto Auction.  Mr. Smith was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church.  Randy enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to Blue Grass and Country Music and fishing.

Survivors include his mother, Jessie Smith, Muncie; two aunts, Amy Lowe, Muncie and Laura Caserta (Joe), Port Clinton, Ohio; one uncle, Frank smith (Marcia), Troy, Ohio; several cousins and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, and one sister, Shirley R. Smith in 1999; his maternal grandparents, Balem and Parsettie Cooper-Smith; his paternal grandparents, Joe and Bricy Smith; 6 aunts, Christine Folina, Clara Johnson, Orene Previtt, Christine Campbell, Evelyn Wright and Claudine Peters; one uncle, Elbert Smith.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at Parson Mortuary.  Pastor Robert Scaife will be officiating.   Cremation will follow services.

Friends may call at Parson Mortuary on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, from 12:00 P.M. until time of service.
