Ray Alan Cavanaugh, age 54, of Winchester, passed away Sunday, October 16th,2022 from an auto accident in New Castle. He was born April 26th,1968 in Muncie and was a graduate of Pendleton Heights High School class of 1986.

He loved watching westerns, making people laugh, being with his family, and formerly enjoyed bowling.  He was a member of Victory Church in New Castle.

Ray held many job titles through his lifetime, and wore the title "Dad" and "Grandpa" the best

He was married to Linda Ann Cavanaugh; has four children Ashley Cavanaugh of Alexandria, Nathan Cavanaugh (Hailey Bant) of Michigan, Jordan and Mason Cavanaugh of Gaston; a step son, Shad Hannerhan of Winchester; 5 grand children, Kaidyn and Kennedy Duke, Cole Cavanaugh, Leo Jones, and Camdyn Fairfax; 6 brothers, Wayne Cavanaugh, Mark (Michelle) Cavanaugh, Dusten (Marlee) Delk, Rodney (fiance' Natasha) McIlwain, Jeff (Beth) McIlwain, and Mike (Phoebe) McIlwain; Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his best friend and Father, Don Cavanaugh ,Paternal grandparents, Junior and Leona Cavanaugh and a grandson Leo Jones.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 25th,2022 at the Parson Mortuary located at 801 W. Adams Street, Muncie with Pastor Wes Comer officiating. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Maxville. Friends may call on Monday from 4:00 – 7:00 pm and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the Mortuary.
