Rebecca "Becky" I. Brooks, 71, went to her heavenly home early Wednesday morning, October 25, 2023, at the Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.  She was born on November 3, 1951, in Muncie the daughter of Lee H. and Eleanora (Lewis) Brooks.

Rebecca attended Muncie Community Schools and later obtained her GED through the Marion School System.  She had worked as a Cook for over 20 years for Wayside Mission and eventually became a home health care worker before her retirement.  Miss Brooks was a member of the Covenant Partners Ministries for several years where she assisted in various ministries of the church.  Becky enjoyed cooking and doing all kinds of crafts when she was able to.

Survivors include two brothers, Ronald Brooks (Diana), Matthews and Thomas Brooks (Terri), Muncie; and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents and two brothers, Fred Brooks in 2010 and Kenny Brooks in 2012 preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at Parson Mortuary on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Linda McBride officiating.  Burial will follow at the Union Eaton Cemetery in Eaton, Indiana.

Friends may call at Parson Mortuary on Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 1200 P.M.  until the time of service.
