Richard Lee Brattain, 65, passed on June 29, 2023, at his home of natural causes.  He was born on March 28, 1958, the son of Merle Brattain Sr. and Hildreth (Belle) Crouch Duncan.  After graduating high school, Rick was an active member of the United States Navy from 1977-1982. He was a Master Locksmith and most recently worked for Shell Corporation.

He is survived by daughters April Earhart and Crystal Brattain (Jeff Catron), sister Jamie, six grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.  He also leaves behind his lifelong best friend Terry Nelson.

He was preceded in death by his father Merl Brattain Sr, mother Hildreth (Belle) Crouch Duncan, brothers Lawrence Brattain and Merl Brattain Jr, and sister Donna Brown.

Cremation will take place at Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center.  The family will have a private memorial service. Rick's remains will be buried at sea by the US Navy at a later date.
