Robert "Bob" Earl Calvert, 72, went to be with his heavenly father Wednesday, January 25, 2023, after a short battle with cancer.  Bob was born and raised in Muncie, IN where he attended Harrison Elementary, Wilson Middle School, and Southside High School.

He worked in construction most of his life, most recently at ECI as a Foreman and backhoe operator.  In his spare time, he loved to fish, do woodworking, and spend time with his family and friends.

He was very proud of his granddaughters and loved them very much.  He was a loving husband to his wife of 47 years, Janet (Fair) Calvert, a great dad to his daughter Julie (Calvert) Roberts (husband Homer), and a devoted grandfather to his granddaughters Amara Roberts and Aveah Roberts.  In addition, he was the best "stand-in dad" for his nephew Matt Calvert and is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Marcella (Ashcraft) Calvert, his father Donald Calvert, and his brother Terry Calvert.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023, at Parson Mortuary from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Robert Fair officiating.  Burial will follow at Tomlinson Cemetery after the funeral service.
