Robert Dwayne Sloan, 71, passed away at IU Methodist Hospital on March 22, 2026.  He was born on February 25, 1955, in Muncie, Indiana.

Following graduation from high school, Robert worked at Coast Federal Bank in Grenada Hills, California, as head of receiving.  Later in life, he worked as a jeweler for American Jewelers.  Robert loved playing the guitar, woodworking, camping, and fishing.

Robert is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Sloan and Jennifer Dorfmeyer (Ryan), his lifetime partner, Elizabeth Ouellette, stepdaughter, Christine Ouellette, and a sister, Beth Ann Garland.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce (Foreman) Swartz.

Per his wishes, Robert will be cremated with no formal service
