Roger Wilson Sargent, 78, passed away unexpectedly on October 21, 2024 at this home in Muncie.  Roger was born in Muncie, Indiana, on May 28, 1946, the son of Alfred and June (Williamson) Sargent.

Roger graduated from Muncie Southside High School in 1964 and went on to be stationed in Germany, in the United States Army.  Upon returning to Muncie, Roger worked for Borg Warner, retiring in 2004.  He was a long-time member of River of Life Church.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of thirty years, Carol A. Sargent, Muncie; daughters, Camellia Eckart (Dan), Muncie; and Annalisa Young (John), Fairmount, GA; son, Jason Sargent; brother, Alvie J. Sargent (Kim), step-son, Tim Hatfield (Julie), Upland, IN; step-daughter, Shelley Hatfield, Ft. Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Kaleb Eckart, Pittsburg, PA; Adrian Eckart, Muncie, IN; Zane Firle, Fort Wain Wright, Fairbanks, AK; Jordan Gilbert, Calhoun, GA; and Johnny and Zack Childers, Andalusia, AL; step-grandchildren, Shea Rutherford (Kassi), Laykyn Muehl (Zachary), Kolby Rutherfurd, all of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Madelyn Pine (Jacob), Elwood, IN.  In addition, he leaves behind many nephews, nieces, cousins, and loved ones.

Roger will be cremated and there will be a celebration of life on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, 2:00 PM, at River of Life Church, 5350 W. Bethel Ave, Muncie, Indiana.
