Royce Avon Parker, 91, of Muncie, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord on August 19, 2026, with his loving family by his side. He was born on May 10, 1935, in Conner County, Tennessee, to Alex and Opel (Duke) Parker.

Royce was a proud Army veteran who served during the Korean War. He was also a dedicated UAW member and spent many years working at General Motors. A hardworking and humble man, Royce took great pride in his work and believed in the value of an honest day's labor. Above all, Royce loved his family. He cherished his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and treasured the time he spent with them. He was a simple, kind, and hardworking man who will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his service to his country, and his strong work ethic.

Royce is survived by his grandchildren, Jessica Parker-Drake (Jermane) and Michelle Hostetler; and his great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Hamilton and Marley Norvell.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Agnes "Eileen" Parker; his parents, Alex and Opel Parker; and his two sisters, Wilma and Gloria.

Funeral services will be held at Parson Mortuary on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1: 00 p.m., with military honors to follow.

Royce will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
