Shaun R. McGuire, 65, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.  Shaun was born on October 29, 1958, in San Luis Obispo, CA, the son of Robert and Ardytho McGuire.

Shaun attended Forest Elementary School and Pacific Grove High School, in Pacific Grove. During his high school days, he worked for Monterey Peninsula Golf Course, Pebble Beach, in the pro shop.  He was later promoted and became a greenskeeper for worked for the golf course for thirty years before retiring in 2004.  Shaun then moved to Muncie, to be with his girlfriend Peggy Bodnar.

Shaun is survived by two brothers, Mickey McGuire (Jeanette), Colorado Springs, CO, and Patrick McGuire (Suzanne), Prospect, TX, one step-sister, Marie Bachino, Coueur d'Alene, ID, and his girlfriend of twenty-two years, Peggy Bodnar.  In addition, he leaves behind one stepdaughter, Melissa Leonard (Travis), and three grandchildren, Harliegh, Ethan, and Xavier.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ardytho McGuire.

Cremation will take place with no service.
