Sherry Lynn Coulter of Gaston, IN entered God's kingdom on June 17th, 2023.

Sherry, the most loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother is survived by her husband, Larry Coulter; parents, Edward and Cynthia Stitt; children, Alyssa (Chris) Schwagmeier, Jessica Peckham, Chelsea (Mark) Whitcomb, Danica Paige, Maleea, Xavier, Ivin, and Kia Coulter; Grandchildren, Lydia, Chase, Jaxon, Bella, Harley, and Oliver; siblings, Jena (Andy) Moorman, Mary Jane (Dave) Pflederer, Katie (Brent) Brandon, Amanda (Robert) Ybarra, and David (Kelly) Stitt; and numerous nieces and nephews and a large extended Coulter family.

For the past 25 years, Sherry has been a respected and cherished colleague at Ontario Systems.

A force of nature with her capable ways and brilliant mind, she was the leading force in guiding some of the largest healthcare systems and federal government agencies to success and achieving their goals. No matter what the challenge or task in front of her, she gave her all to ensure she exceed all expectations whether for herself or others. If someone was going to fight for the customer, it was always Sherry; she was passionate about helping her customers succeed. The ultimate team player, Sherry dug in and did the hard work when needed, lent a hand any way she could to her team, and did it all with thoughtfulness and kindness.

Sherry's love and passion was for children. She lovingly took in 15 foster children throughout her life and adopted five as her own. She unconditionally and unselfishly loved her children and supported them through the many highs and difficulties of their lives. She made it her mission to instill love and confidence in her kids and was never shy about lifting them up and loving them for the world to see. She was a joyful presence who immediately lit up any room she entered. She loved her friends and family fiercely and filled her home with warmth and kindness. She had an amazing sense of humor and a loud, contagious laugh! Her wit was razor sharp and she was known to say the most shocking thing she could think of, in hopes of helping you see a new perspective. She was kind, generous, and compassionate.

Sherry was a truly wonderful woman whose impact will be forever felt by her family, friends, and all the children she loved. She was genuinely selfless, and her passing left an unfillable gap in the hearts of all who knew her. Her ability to shine bright, inspire, create joy, support, heal, and love will be forever engrained in all she touched.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life, which will take place on Sherry's birthday, July 9th from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 2107 S Park Avenue, Alexandria, IN 46001. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the IU Health Ball Memorial Cancer Center or in the form of gift cards for Larry and the kids still at home as they navigate this new chapter of life.
