Sonja S Boozier, 83, passed away on November 12, 2023, at Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie Indiana following a brief illness. She was born on February 13, 1940, the daughter of Ray and Elma (Roby) Ireland in Wells County Indiana. Sonja graduated from Gov I.P. Gray school in Jay County Indiana and went on to obtain her LPN degree from Ft Wayne Vocational School in Ft Wayne Indiana. She was employed as an LPN at Caylor-Nickel Clinic in Bluffton Indiana and Markle Medical Center in Markle Indiana. In her leisure time, she enjoyed crafting and painting. Sonja was married to William L. Boozier and they had 2 children, a daughter, Kristi, and a son, Kraig. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kristi (John) Mort of Eaton, Indiana, and Kraig (Dawn Gomes) Boozier of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Grandchildren Bill (Heather) Boozier of Rock Hill South Carolina and Amanda (Will Bitikofer) of Muncie, Indiana. Great-grandchildren, Collen and Owen Boozier of Rock Hill, South Carolina. Step-grandchildren Melissa Gomes and Ciara Smith of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Vanessa Landrum of Phoenix Arizona and several step-great-grandchildren. Brother Ronnie (Sondra) Ireland of Montpelier, Indiana, and sister-in-law Mary Boozier of Portland Indiana as well as several nieces and nephews. Sonja was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Elma Ireland and husband William L Boozier. Per her wishes, Sonja will be cremated and inurned with her husband at the Florida National Military Cemetery in Bushnell Florida. There will be no services.
