Tamara (Tammy) Beth Dabbs, 63, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at her residence following an illness. She was born on December 4th, 1959 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the daughter of Paul E. and Alice E. (Cartwright) Hyatt.

Tammy graduated high school in 1978 and later earned her Bachelor's Degree from Ball State University, where she was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority. She later earned her Master's Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Tammy was a librarian at Roncalli High School before moving to Cowan Community School Corporation where she would spend 32 years. She loved her students, reading, running the social committee, and always had candy for anyone who needed a piece.

She is survived by her husband, James O. Dabbs whom she married on July 18th, 2015, her two children and four bonus children, Katie Clark (Aaron), Redkey, Robby Craig (Kayla) Yorktown, Chrissy Brown (Roger), Greensburg, Bobby Dabbs (Heather), Muncie, Nathan Dabbs (Tran Nhan Tran), San Diego, California, and Toni Smith (Tom), Muncie, 11 grandchildren, brother David Hyatt (Rose) Vevay, his sister-in-law (Becky Birchfield) and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bob and Donna Craig.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Doris, Paula, and Patty.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 16th, 2023, at 5:00 P.M. at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Jeff Ellis and Chaplain Molly Mattocks officiating. Cremation will follow.

Friends may call at Parson Mortuary on Monday, October 16th from 3:00 P.M. until the time of service.
