Thomas L. Owens, 82, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022, at Ball Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness. He was born on May 7, 1940, and graduated from Gray High School in 1958. He was a veteran of the United States Airforce.

Tom married Barbara Moorhead on November 18, 1961, and they had three daughters, Kathy, and twins, Jean and Joan. Tom had several jobs throughout his life. He built grain bins and worked for a wire mill. The majority of his work was with Marsh Supermarket Warehouse.

For many years Tom enjoyed restoring antique tractors and participating in tractor shows and pulls. Tom was an active member of Springport Christian Church. He participated in "walk a mile in my shoes" and collected funds for the Salvation Army bell ringing during the holidays.

Tom is survived by his wife Barbara; daughter Joan Owens; and granddaughter Skylar Murphy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Blendena Owens; twin brother Donald Owens; brother Charles Owens; and daughters Kathy and Jean Owens.

Tom enjoyed making people laugh, helped wherever he could, and worked to provide for his family. He had many lifelong friends who he met at school, Marsh, tractor shows, and good neighbors. He will be sorely missed
